(To be read in the deep voice of the guy who does all of the Movie Trailers) The Great Fuzzy Man super hero will not be defeated by the evil Zman Sleep Monster. Fuzzy will fight to the bitter end wielding his pointy sword and his pentagonal shield of endless energy (and fussiness). The Zman's pointy teeth do not scare Fuzzy, for Fuzzy has two sharp teeth of his own! With his glorious light brown vertical tresses the Great Fuzzy bravely faces his worst enemy, day in and day out. Will the Zman ever lull Fuzzy Man into his quiet cave of sweet tranquility or will Fuzzy continue to fight the terrifying thought of inactivity? From Mommy: Apparently Preston didn't want to take a nap for Miss Erin today. She drew me a picture to tell me about it. We went to the Pediatrician yesterday. Preston got a flu shot and a check-up. He is 21lbs, 29 inches tall, and in the 75th percentile. He is right on track. My big boy is growing up TOO fast. I hate having my Week photo taken. When are Mom and Dad going to stop this craziness.... My new friend, Gavin, is here and we went to visit him when he was just one week old. I wanted to play, but Mommy said he was still too little. He sleeps in my old bassinet. I'm already a good sharer. His parents are super tired, but so thrilled to have a new baby. Here are a few pictures of our day with Gavin and Phil and Holly. Mom made this for him. G is for Gavin! Emily is moving to Texas. I'm going to miss her so much. It was nice to have her around for the summer. She's going to be so big when I see her again (or maybe it will be ME that is so big when I see her again). She came to visit tonight at bedtime to say goodbye.
Gigi and Grandpa came over today, too. They brought us lunch, and we played for the afternoon. I'm doing all sorts of new tricks lately. I can stand up on furniture, crawl on all fours, cruise around the room, and open and close drawers and cabinets (sometimes on my fingers - that HURTS). I like to pull clothes out of the drawers that I pull open. Daddy and I play legos at bedtime. He builds stuff when I chew on legos, and then I knock down what he builds. Today he built and army of lego robots who were there to protect a giant lego robot and his treasure (a cell phone). But they couldn't keep me away, I'll knock over anything for a cell phone. I'm also getting really good at my zoomie zoom (that's what mommy calls my walker). Today I got to zoom around the porch. I can go SO fast - but only backwards. I have a toy fire truck that does some pretty awesome stuff. I can stand up on it and move back and forth. But my FAVORITE part of the fire truck is the bell. It has a rope attached to it, and I LOVE to ding the bell. I could ding it all day! In the morning when Mommy and Daddy are trying to get ready for work, I like to play in a laundry basket with the Jumbles. They are giant plastic things that look like Jacks. Sometimes I stand up in the laundry basket to tip it over and escape. Then I crawl into the bathroom to bang on the scale, and bang the handles that are on the dresser. Mom and Dad take FOREVER to get ready. I just want to play! Sometimes, if Mommy wants to sleep a little more (because I wake her up 47 times at night), Daddy will take me in the shower with him. I love to try to catch the water and grab at the shampoo bottles. Daddy doesn't get very clean, but he says it's refreshing anyway. |
