Rough Weekend

Finally - as promised - Photo Highlights from my first vacation!!
Normally on your 21st birthday, the following day is pretty miserable (if you partake in the celebratory legal drinking binge that happens on such an occasion).  For my 21st week birthday, I was miserable the day before.  I was getting the bad part over with!  Let me explain.
Friday was actually pretty fun.  Mom and I went with Siobhan to the frame shop, and then went out to lunch.  When we got back I had a bit of a poop-spolsion, poor Mommy had to clean it up.  I couldn't help it, but I was sorry Mommy had to deal with it.  Finally she was able to pack for a night at Phil and Holly's house!  Daddy came home early and we were on our way.  Daddy stayed on campus at LVC so he could relive his crazy college days with his room mates.  Jim is getting married this weekend, so friday night was Part 1 of his long weekend Bachelor Party.  Mommy and I stayed with Holly at her house, and came home saturday morning.  That's when my troubles began.
I just couldn't get comfortable.  Mommy tried so hard to comfort me and keep me happy.  I really wish I could just tell her what was bothering me, but she just doesn't understand my baby talk!  I took a really long nap on Saturday afternoon and then Mommy took me shopping, but the rest of the time I was really sad.  Finally around 10pm I fell asleep, and Mommy got to relax a bit.  Daddy was enjoying Part 2 of Jim's Bachelor Party.  He came home Sunday morning - my 21st week birthday!
Sunday wasn't much better.  I was still uncomfortable and unhappy, but at least Mommy had Daddy around to help.
Daddy took a nap to gear up for a long night of just him and me, because Mommy went to see the Backstreet Boys!  She was so excited to go, but I couldn't tell you why (I've never heard of those guys).  I wish I could say Dad and I had a good time, but I made it hard on him by not wanting to eat.
Mommy got home SO late, and we all went to bed.  Today it was back to work and daycare.  My 21st week birthday was a bit of a dud, but my "hangover" was done today, and I felt much better.

From Mommy:
Of course Preston is a monster for me and a perfect angel when he goes to daycare!  I was really emotionally drained after a rough day all by myself on Saturday.  He refused to eat, cried all the time, and basically tested me to my limit.  I was SO glad to have John back on Sunday.  I needed a bit of a break.
On a more positive note, the Backstreet Boys concert was AWESOME!  The tickets were my Christmas present, so it was nice to finally enjoy them.  Jordin Sparks opened the concert, and the New Kids on the Block headlined next to the Backstreet Boys.  The two groups did a few songs together, but they mostly volleyed between short sets.  We had really awesome seats just a few rows away from the center stage.  I even got to shake hands with one of the New Kids on the Block, Johnathan Knight.  I was never really a fan of NKOTB, but I was surprised by how many of their songs I recognized.  They put on a good show, but I was clearly more excited about the BSB!
Today I was apprehensive about sending Preston to daycare.  He was his normal happy self this morning, but he's fooled me with that routine before.  Last night absolutely refused to drink a bottle for John, and I was worried he would pull the same some and dance at daycare today.  I was wrong.  He was completely back to normal for daycare.  I guess all is right with the world again!
