Sitting for snacktime

At daycare I always have to sit down to eat my snack or my lunch.  It is their rule, and it's a good rule!  Since I am so good at following the rules, I sometimes have to remind Mom.  So tonight when we got home and I got some milk and a cracker to hold me over until dinner time, I tried to remind Mom about the sitting rule, but she wasn't paying attention.  So I just sat down on the floor.  THAT got her attention.  So then she got a really good idea.  She brought one of my play chairs up from downstairs so that I wouldn't have to sit in my high chair just for a little snack.  I loved sitting the chair, but I don't know how to get on or off of it yet.  I guess I have to figure that out.  Here is a picture of me in my chair!  You might also notice my haircut.  Mom thinks it's a bit short in the front.  Maybe I will have to spike it for my school picture next week.

From Mommy:
When I picked up Preston from daycare today all of the kids were outside playing on the playground.  Pres was one of the little kids of the group, and he looked TINY compared to all the rest.  But he was VERY cute.  I talked to his teacher for a few minutes while he was playing, and his favorite thing to do was pick up the wood chips off the ground and throw them back down.  He was laughing so hard about it!  All I could think was "he is such a boy!"  He also showed me how he loves the slide (with the help of his teacher), and he did NOT want to go back inside to go home.  All of the big kids seem to love Preston.  There is always someone (a bigger kid) watching over him, holding his hand, getting him toys, or giving him a hug.  It melts my heart a little bit.
When we got home it was still really nice outside so we stayed out for at least a half hour.  He wanted to swing, and then he just likes to pick up all the sticks that are around the yard.  I hope that when it is really nice out we can do some yard work together.  I'm not sure how much we will actually get done though, because he is a wanderer.  We have to work on getting him to stay within my sight.
Anyway, it's nice to be able to step back from work a little more, and Preston, John
